Your First Visit

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

When you come to our Lacombe office you will feel welcomed and cared for.

On your first visit you should expect to be with us about 45 to 60 minutes. We will ask you to complete some forms that will let you tell us all about the reason you are seeing us.  Please bring your Alberta Health Care number as this will cover a portion of your visit fee.

Because Dr. Haitsma will be conducting an exam on your spine please wear loose fitting clothing without a large collar. Try to avoid wearing a turtle neck that day. Please leave your necklaces at home and if you wear earrings be prepared to remove them.

The exam typically includes a postural analysis, computerized scan of your spine, measuremnts of how far you can turn your head, neck and lower spine and x-rays if necessary. Most x-rays are taken in the office. Of course, during this whole time if any questions arise Dr. Haitsma will answer them.

At the conclusion of the consultation and examination you will be asked if you have not already done so to make an appointment for the next day or two for your follow up and first adjustment. This allows Dr. Haitsma to study your exam findings and study your x-rays to determine the best way to approach your particular circumstance.

Dr. Jones Asks some important questions of interest to Lacombe residents - Chiropractor Lacombe Dr. Jones Asks...

Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
Why are frequent visits advised when starting chiropractic care?
Consistent visits at the beginning of your chiropractic care help create the momentum necessary to correct and retrain unhealthy spinal patterns. Later, Lacombe patients find that continued care on a less frequent visit schedule can help preserve their progress and avoid a relapse.
